Tips, Techniques or Instructions:

  1. Cut a piece of white cardstock 2 ¾ x 5 ¾ inches.

  2. Squirt out some Masquepen onto a Ranger non-stick craft sheet or wax paper and dip your foam stamp into it. Stamp the word SWIM with the Masquepen liquid and wait for it to dry. Rinse off your foam stamps immediately after stamping. Using a stamp scrubber works really well to remove the Masquepen while it is still in liquid form. If there is any latex residue left on your stamps, spray a little orange solvent on it and let it sit for 1-2 minutes and then use a brush to gently scrub off the remain latex.

  3. Paint the piece of cardstock with the watercolors and let it dry completely.

  4. Cut a piece of the patterned paper 2 ½ by 1 ½ inches.

  5. Cover the words “love” with Masquepen and let it dry.

  6. Paint over the patterned paper and Masquepen with the watercolors and let it dry completely.

  7. When removing the Masquepen, be sure to rub and roll it off, rather than pulling it off to avoid having your paint and paper tear or separate.

  8. Assemble the layout as shown (I used a 4 x 5 ¼ inch photo).
